Ice Snow January 2014 at my home town Milton Florida

Good Morning! I am happy and thankful to say that I still have electricity and internet! Wow Wow Wow… this is really amazing for northwest Florida! The last time we had snow was 1993 when I first bought my homestead in Milton Florida. I got up to a white blanket of ice snow. I been online checking out my Etsy customers orders and questions. I better go now and start sewing, it’s a good day for it because I won’t be doing anything outside today around this homestead! Stay warm and stay safe everyone! I have posted a few pictures below to show my yard.

The girls are romping out by the big oak tree. They ran back in on the porch and wanted to go in the house. It’s too cold for them out there! See past the fence over to Fortune Road, it is covered with ice snow too!

1. All recycled bags are completely processed by either pulling apart the glued seam, or by cutting a new opening along the side of the bag so that the bag can lay open flat for washing.
2. All bags are opened flat and scrubbed with cleaning and disinfecting solutions on both sides of the bag. Some bags require soaking to disinfectant and remove stains, That is done in a large plastic container when the bags are submersed in a disinfecting solution of chlorine water.
3. Washed bags are hung on line to dry, once dry the bags are ready to be cut-out for sewing just as any other material.
4. All totes and other items are constructed with great care for durability as well as aesthetics!

Custom Lunch Tote

This is a custom lunch tote I made for a customer. She mailed her coffee bags to me that she had been saving. After we decided on the size needed she left the design up to me. I added some bags that I had in stock for the lining and a few small pieces here and there on outside. I think she will be pleased.

The size is about 14″ x 14″ x 14″ and has velcro closure on top. The handles are heavy woven strap material.

 

 

Website Update

As part of the changes implemented last year, the webhosting plan downgrade finally went through in December. I set up some basic pages last night, but be assured that I am still working toward transitioning away from paid hosting at yahoo as the date for renewal of the domain name approaches.

What a great thought! We don’t make sewing mistake, only embellishment opportunities!  I heard that on Sewing with Nancy on PBS this morning! LOVE that thought so much I had to stop sewing and share it with you all!
